The Ladies and Men's State League Team stormed into their grand finals both securing their passage with a win over Royal Kings Park.
Hayley Burton got the ladies off to a quick start winning the first rubber whilst Ksenija Vujacic showed great fight coming back from a 6-2 4-1 deficit to win the second singles in a match tie-breaker. After a tough first set, Ella Nurkic secured a victory 7-6 6-0. Our number one player, Anja Dokic completing a clean sweep of the singles matches defeating Shanelle Iaconi.
On the men's side, Rhys Johnson quickly won his match employing some superb dropshots along the way with Ethan Cook working hard to secure the second match. Matt Burton was superb against Jake Robinson securing a comprehensive victory. Vuk Velickovic then completed a clean sweep of the singles. The grand finals will be played next Saturday at Hensman Park.
